Your 4 Days Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Head southeast through the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages and scenic viewpoints perfect for photos.
Enjoy lunch in the village of Ait Ben Haddou and explore its famous kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has appeared in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Next, stop in Ouarzazate, where you can visit the largest film studio in Africa if you’re interested. Continue to Dades Gorge, traveling through the picturesque Valley of Roses. Once in Dades Valley, see the unique “monkey fingers” rock formations and enjoy views of the gorge before heading to your hotel for the night.
Day 2: Dades Gorges → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Desert
Start your day with breakfast before driving along the Dades and Todra Rivers, surrounded by palm groves and Berber villages. Stop at Todra Gorge, one of the most stunning canyons in the world.
Continue toward the Merzouga desert, with an optional visit to a Berber shop along the way. Try traditional clothing, snap photos, or browse for scarves and souvenirs—no purchase required. If you prefer not to stop, let your guide know.
Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, ride a camel into the desert. Watch the sunset over the dunes, try sandboarding, and settle into a luxury desert camp. Enjoy dinner and the unique nighttime atmosphere of the desert.
Day 3: Explore Merzouga Desert
Wake up early to watch the sunrise from the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at the camp. Begin your desert exploration with a 4×4 ride to visit Berber nomads and learn about their way of life.
Visit the hidden village of Mefis, experience live Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and stop at the Lake of Birds if it has water.
After lunch, head to your riad and enjoy some free time. Relax by the pool or wander the nearby dunes. Later, have dinner and spend the night at your riad. You can also opt to stay another night in the desert camp if you wish.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert → Agdez → Marrakech
After breakfast at your riad, begin the return trip to Marrakech. Pass through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley, and stop in Agdez to admire its palm-filled landscape.
